Glenda Horton Manning
is not a teacher by profession, but is an “educator” in every
sense of the word. She is a certified Sociologist with unlimited experiences
in working with parents and families. As a Master Communicator, she is considered
among the most sought after motivational speakers in the nation. Her “classroom”
has no boundaries.
Glenda has provided the leadership in establishing resource centers for
parents and families throughout the nation. Her involvement with adults
is motivated by a compassionate love for children. Glenda has provided consultant
services for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and National
Department of Education and Labor. Her effort to motivate young people and
aspire toward a standard of personal academic excellence has led to her
recognition as “Children Advocate of the Year” by Charlotte
Council for Children.
Glenda is a product of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System and a graduate
of Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is a recent graduate
of the Minority Institute of Business, North Carolina. Among the organizations
to reap positive benefits from her services is Habitat for Humanity, The
Salvation Army Women’s Shelter, and Child Care Resources, Inc.
Mrs. Manning is the Founder and Chief Officer of Touch, Incorporated. This
organization provides motivational seminars, human behavioral workshops
and speaker services to schools, churches, private enterprises and the general
public.
Mrs. Manning is a wife, mother, and grandmother. When asked how she would
like to be remembered, Glenda has often said that she’d like to be
thought of as “one who loves people… especially little children”.
